Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Niek Mulder (ranked 1066 p4p, 1600 weight class) and Rolando Marcellini (ranked 150 p4p, 226 weight class). Rolando Marcellini will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Niek Mulder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Rolando Marcellini !
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Emerson Jorge and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marcellini dips to his left and cracks Mulder with an uppercut!
Marcellini feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mulders jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Marcellini throws a head kick that misses

so Mulder counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Mulder thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Mulder looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mulder pushes down on Marcellini 's leg and manages to get into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mulder keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Marcellini wants to get back to his feet.
Marcellini wants to sweep but Mulder has passed to side control!
Mulder controls the position.
Mulder lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Marcellini taking punishment in the form of punches.
Mulder working the ground and pound from side control.
Marcellini is looking to regain half guard here but Mulder keeps moving and retains side control.
Mulder looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Mulder takes a little break here. Marcellini wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Marcellini tries to buck Mulder off but Mulder is having none of it.

Mulder is trying to get an arm triangle but Marcellini is defending well.

Mulder decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Marcellini scores with a jab. Mulder acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Marcellini lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Marcellini drops Mulder with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Mulder looks back up at him and smiles so Marcellini waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Mulder is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mulder tries to bum rush Marcellini with a series of wild strikes but Marcellini uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Oh Mulder is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Marcellini steps in with a hook that catches Mulder right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Marcellini follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Mulder looks absolutely devastated.
