The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Read with a hook.
Read throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Petrovs is looking for the big counter here.
A decent looking cross lands there for Read.
Read takes a swing at Petrovs's ribcage but misses.
The fighters circling - Petrovs throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Read walks into a left hand.

Read drives through with a takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Read accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Petrovs wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Petrovs looking for a sweep. Not yet Petrovs, not yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Petrovs has control of Read's left arm, preventing Read from doing any damage.
Read trying to control the position from guard on top but Petrovs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Read is stalling in the full guard.

Read wants to control from the top but Petrovs keeps moving.
Petrovs has Read pulled in close to control his posture.
Petrovs lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Read pulls Petrovs in to control the position.
Petrovs wants to stand but Read has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Read working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Petrovs doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Read is tightening it up a little... Petrovs has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Petrovs reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Petrovs taps out! Nice BJJ there by Read!
