PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Debunked (ranked 4592 p4p, 5130 weight class) and Vlad Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Savage does no damage.
Savage misses with a wild body shot.
Debunked tries to counter with a takedown but Savage is quick to defend against it.

Debunked tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Savage manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Horrible takedown attempt by Debunked or perhaps it was just good defense by Savage, which made it look bad.

Savage closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Debunked is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Savage has just dragged him back down to the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Savage controls the position.

Savage is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Debunked has escaped the position, nice work there.

Savage tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Savage takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Debunked is bucking up trying to escape but Savage cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Savage lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Savage has control of Debunked's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Debunked regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Savage breaks from Debunked's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Debunked is rocked!

A big strike lands for Savage! That's really hurt Debunked and he's turned his back - Savage keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Savage jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
