Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tito Solano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Kaizer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chris Kaizer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tito Solano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chris Kaizer!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Solano. No joy for Kaizer on that attempt.
Solano tries a head kick but it misses.
No luck for Kaizer with that takedown attempt.
Solano tries a low kick but Kaizer avoids it.

and Kaizer counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Kaizer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kaizer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kaizer drops back, looking for a kneebar! Solano looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Solano looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Solano!

Solano stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Kaizer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Solano looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Kaizer has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Solano!

Solano is looking to improve his position but Kaizer isn't that keen on the idea.
Kaizer misses with some ground and pound and Solano recovers position to half guard.
Solano wants to control but Kaizer is keeping busy.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Solano shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Kaizer counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Solano!

Kaizer goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Solano is on top in guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Solano scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

No joy there for Solano, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kaizer slips a jab and a cross from Solano.
Solano throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kaizer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris Kaizer dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Solano moves into the clinch.
Solano scores with a shot to the side of Kaizer's head.
Solano has Kaizer pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kaizer manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Solano is pressed up against the cage. Kaizer has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Solano down to the mat. Solano avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Tito Solano has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Kaizer.

Solano closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kaizer to the mat! Kaizer manages to get full guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kaizer not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Solano seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Solano slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Solano misses with a takedown

and Kaizer counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Kaizer drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Solano dives on top into guard.

Kaizer had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Solano is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kaizer Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Solano's back instead.

Solano defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Kaizer's arms.

Solano is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Kaizer tries to get the hooks in deep but Solano pushed the leg off.
Solano has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Chris Kaizer has got the better of the ground game so far.

Solano won't enjoy being in this position. Kaizer looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Solano is tapping - it's over boys! Kaizer picks up the submission victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Chris Kaizer!
