Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Boyka (ranked 7208 p4p, 5187 weight class) and Conor McGregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Conor McGregor will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Ivan Kurochkin and Fedor Mirinova.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McGregor moves into the clinch.
McGregor working aggressively here.
Boyka letting McGregor take a breather here.

McGregor drags the fight down to the ground.
McGregor preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Boyka throws a big elbow that misses.
Boyka is working McGregor over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Boyka is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
McGregor is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boyka wants to control from the top but McGregor keeps moving.

McGregor looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Boyka has picked McGregor up and slammed him! McGregor can't keep hold of the triangle and Boyka manages to pass to side control!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Boyka scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at McGregor to see if he's OK.
McGregor tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Boyka wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Boyka has hold of McGregor's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! McGregor tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Boyka cranks the arm and McGregor screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from McGregor, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
