Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Damian Dilbrandt (ranked 2087 p4p, 4202 weight class) and Jihadi John (ranked 234 p4p, 440 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dilbrandt swings away with a body shot that misses
and John counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Dilbrandt misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from John.
Dilbrandt throws out a leg kick but John moves out of range and Dilbrandt only half commits.
Damian Dilbrandt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dilbrandt throws an overhand right that lands on John's shoulder, as John tries to avoid the shot.
It seemed like John was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Dilbrandt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A countering left hand to the body from John misses.
Dilbrandt throws a series of strikes that have John backpedaling.
Dilbrandt bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Dilbrandt throws out a loose jab but John uses good head movement to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dilbrandt lands a nice looking body shot.
Dilbrandt steps to the side to avoid the strikes from John.
Dilbrandt has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Dilbrandt takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Dilbrandt loads up on a big right hand but John slips the punch.
John misses with a looping right.
John walks into a stiff left hand from Dilbrandt.
No joy there for Dilbrandt, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A nice side step and John releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Dilbrandt throws an overhand right that lands on John's shoulder, as John tries to avoid the shot.
Dilbrandt will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
John cracks Dilbrandt with an open hand slap.
John steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dilbrandt.
John fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dilbrandt looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Dilbrandt lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

John is rocked!
John tries to get into range but Dilbrandt steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops John! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Dilbrandt scores the big KO victory!
