Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Justin Case (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Mac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brian Mac is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Justin Case!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brian Mac!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Roberts and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mac tries to clinch but Case is having none of it.
Mac tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Case paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Case fails to land the takedown.
Brian Mac seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Case fails with the takedown.
Mac gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Case counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Mac wants to get back to his feet but Case is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Mac looking for a guillotine here but Case defends easily.

Case thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Mac working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Case.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Case accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Case postures up in Mac's guard and throws a big left but Mac blocks it.
Case postures up and lands a big shot to Mac's brow.
Case throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mac lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Case!
Mac connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Case is working to get back to half guard.
Mac blocks Case's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Case is trying desperately to improve position.
Mac raining down shots from the mount!
Case is looking to get to half guard.
Mac in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Case flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Case has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Case is trying to escape the mount.

Mac lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Case hang on?
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Case really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Case flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Case slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Case looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Case is breathing heavily.
Mac wants to stand but Case has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Case makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Case.

Case is looking for a triangle but Mac pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Case keeping full guard, as Mac tries to pass.
Mac working some strikes from top position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Case is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Mac tries to free his leg and advance position but Case is retaining full guard.

Case has his foot on Mac's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mac works his way back into a safe position though.
Mac trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Case escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mac gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Mac keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Case's head.
Mac in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Case looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Mac connects with a couple of short punches.
Mac passes into half guard.
Case tries to get to full guard but Mac has control of the leg.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mac landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Case is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Mac pulls his head out easily.

Case actively working from the bottom here.
Case on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Case punching from the bottom.
Case flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Mac working over Case with some ground and pound. Case looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
The fighters circle momentarily. Mac darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Mac fails in his attempt to clinch.
Mac stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justin Case. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Case counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Mac!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Justin Case dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Horrible takedown by Case or perhaps it was just good defense by Mac which made him look bad.

Mac has Case up against the cage in a clinch.
Mac is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Case is keeping busy.
Mac wants to get back to striking at distance but Case won't allow it.
Mac lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Case is trying to trip Mac. He has hold of a leg but Mac is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Case persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Case loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Mac throwing rabbit punches from the bottom - showing the judges that he's keeping busy.
Case passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Mac tries to improve position but can't.
Case looks up at the clock and then as Mac takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Case smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Case scores with a couple of short elbows.
Case working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Case is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Mac is trying to escape and Case transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Mac is forced to tap! Nice work there by Case! Very nice indeed!
