Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Just Fight Scappy Do (ranked 5600 p4p, 4037 weight class) and Takeshi Takeda (ranked 591 p4p, 481 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Just Fight Scappy Do!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeshi Takeda!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takeda scores with a hook to the body. Scappy Do takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Scappy Do misses with a head kick.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Scappy Do enables Takeda to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Scappy Do manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Takeda lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Takeda must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Takeda scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Scappy Do looking to control.
Takeda throwing strikes from guard but Scappy Do blocks nicely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Scappy Do wants to control from the top but Takeda keeps moving.
Scappy Do is really struggling to control Takeda but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Takeda looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Scappy Do wants to pass the guard but Takeda is keeping the position.

Takeda is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Scappy Do is aware though and is defending well.

Takeda escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Scappy Do gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Scappy Do stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Takeda swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Scappy Do stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Takeda darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Scappy Do is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Scappy Do is trying to stand.

Scappy Do has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Takeda is working away from the top position though.
Takeda working over Scappy Do with some ground and pound. Scappy Do looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Takeda takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Scappy Do tries to kick Takeda off but Takeda keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Scappy Do manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Scappy Do misses with a hook. Takeda ducked under it nicely.
Scappy Do doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Takeda uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Scappy Do.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Scappy Do throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Takeshi Takeda has been cut.

Takeda shoots in and bounces Scappy Do off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Scappy Do wants to sweep here but Takeda controlling him for the moment.
Takeda stands up over Scappy Do, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Scappy Do wants to stand but Takeda is controlling the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Takeshi Takeda will probably get the nod.

Scappy Do tries to clinch there but Takeda circles away.
Takeda comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Scappy Do tries to close the distance and clinch but Takeda swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Takeda shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Scappy Do as he avoids it easily.
Scappy Do throws a head kick that misses.
Takeshi Takeda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Scappy Do pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Takeda feints the counter takedown.
Scappy Do throws a head kick but Takeda moves out of range.

Takeda decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Scappy Do is looking to improve his position.
Scappy Do is trying to stand back up but Takeda is controlling him

Scappy Do wants to control but Takeda is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Scappy Do is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Takeda is doing well to control the position and prevent Scappy Do from advancing to side control.
Scappy Do tries to pass to full mount but Takeda defends it.

Scappy Do tries to stand and escape but Takeda is controlling the position.

Scappy Do stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Takeda swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Scappy Do has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Takeda is proving hard to escape from.
Scappy Do tries to free his leg and advance position but Takeda is retaining full guard.
Takeda is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Takeda working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Scappy Do doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Scappy Do manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A looping hook to the body misses from Takeda. Scappy Do does a little dance to reset his feet.

Takeda is continuing to stall.

I would just about give that final round to Takeshi Takeda.
I've got Takeda winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
