Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Clay Hayden (ranked 3944 p4p, 3619 weight class) and Max Harris (ranked 409 p4p, 383 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Clay Hayden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Max Harris!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Ben Hemmingworth and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris swings for the body but Hayden moves out of range.
Hayden throws a leg kick but Harris sees it coming and moves out of range.
A jab from Harris does it's job there.
Hayden misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A slow jab from Harris misses its intended target.
Harris throws a lazy uppercut
and Harris takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Harris pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Harris throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hayden.
Hayden is looking to counter the offense by Harris and move into the clinch.
We've been hearing reports that Hayden has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Hayden takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Hayden ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Harris moves away.
Hayden moves out of range as Harris strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hayden moves in looking to clinch but Harris pushes him off.
Harris's corner calls for a 1-2. Harris obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Hayden slips a jab from Harris.
Hayden misses with a body shot.
Harris connects with a looping right hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Harris swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Harris swings widly with a right hand

and Hayden counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Harris!
Harris is looking to reverse the position.
Harris keeps trying to improve his position.
Check out the look on Hayden's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Hayden has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hayden is looking to take a break and control but Harris is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Harris wants to get back to his feet.
Hayden trying to control the action but Harris is working from the bottom.

Harris tries to buck Hayden off but Hayden is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hayden tries to advance to mount but Harris denies him.
Harris is trying to work for a sweep but Hayden has mounted him!

Harris really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hayden in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Harris sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hayden lands a nice short elbow.
Hayden lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Hayden is working for a kimura but Harris is defending it quite comfortably.
Well, if Hayden is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Harris is trying to stand up here but Hayden is controlling him well.
Harris is looking for a sweep. Hayden is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Hayden wants to free his trapped foot but Harris is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hayden prevents Harris from standing back up.
Harris is trying to control but Hayden manages to pass to mount!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Clay Hayden will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Hayden shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Harris as he jumps to the side.
Harris throws an off balance right hand
and Hayden counters with a slapping leg kick.
Hayden staying out of range there.
Hayden throws a sloppy head kick and Harris moves out of range easily.
A nice leg kick lands there from Hayden.
Hayden throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Harris throws a jab when Hayden was well out of range.
Hayden pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Harris tries a quick counter leg kick but Hayden is wise to it.
Hayden throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

A telegraphed right hand from Harris misses the target.
Hayden throws the kick towards the body but Harris avoids it.
Harris fails to land with a series of punches.
Hayden takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Hayden bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Harris misses with a jab, cross combination.
Harris takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Harris scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Hayden is rocked!

It looks like Clay Hayden has been cut.
Harris works Hayden's body with a nice hook.
Oh Hayden is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hayden takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Sloppy strikes from Harris. Those never looked like landing.
Hayden drops down looking for a counter takedown but Harris sprawls and moves away.
Hayden throws a wild hook but Harris just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Hayden gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Harris raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Max Harris!
