Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Baki Hanma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hung Sow Loe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hanma darts in and clinches Sow Loe up against the cage.
Sow Loe is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Hanma is keeping busy.

Hanma breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hanma throws a shot from downtown. Sow Loe moves away and avoids it.
Hanma throws a body punch but Sow Loe moves out of range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Hanma moves into the clinch successfully.

Sow Loe gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Baki Hanma overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Sow Loe is standing up over Hanma. Hanma looks to escape but Sow Loe dives into side control.
Hanma wants to get back to his feet but Sow Loe drags him back down.

Sow Loe creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Hanma is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Sow Loe asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Sow Loe connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hanma's hands.

Hanma throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sow Loe shoots in but no luck this time.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sow Loe.

and Hanma counters with a shoot takedown. Sow Loe fights it but they end up in guard.
Sow Loe is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Sow Loe is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hanma defends it well.
Hanma keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Hanma lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Sow Loe had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hanma is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sow Loe Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hanma's back instead.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hanma is keeping busy.
Hanma looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Baki Hanma.
Well Hanma has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
