Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Luca Anacoreta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charlie Johnston!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnston closes the distance looking to clinch

and Anacoreta decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Johnston's guard.

Johnston is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Anacoreta jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Johnston walks away with a smile on his face. Anacoreta gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Johnston clinches with his opponent.

Anacoreta lands a takedown into guard.
Anacoreta is standing up over Johnston. Johnston looks to escape but Anacoreta dives into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.


Anacoreta working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Johnston is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A lull in the action here as Anacoreta stalls from top position.
Johnston wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Johnston tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Anacoreta sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Anacoreta is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Johnston can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Anacoreta looking to control and managing it successfully.
Anacoreta has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnston wants to get back to his feet.

Anacoreta wants to finish this one by submission but Johnston is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Anacoreta.
Johnston is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Anacoreta controlling the pace for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Anacoreta.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Anacoreta is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Johnston is forced to tap! Great finish!

Charlie Johnston was interviewed post fight and said 'This changes nothing! I will become champion one day, and everyone here will be very sorry!'.
