The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Scott closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nicolau tries to buck Scott off but Scott is having none of it.
Nicolau is working hard here to advance position.

Scott decides to stand back up. Scott steps back and let's Nicolau get back to his feet.

Nicolau cracks Scott with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Nicolau has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Scott to stand back up!

Scott is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Scott walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Nicolau swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
