The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
York blocks a low kick nicely.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

York fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jones sprawls well initially but York persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

York is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jones doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time York.

York shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jones's guard.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jones lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and York has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from York and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

York is going olschool here, as he tries to force Jones to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jones shrugs it off.
