Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Dos Santos (ranked 5889 p4p, 5660 weight class) and Diego Pereira (ranked 587 p4p, 568 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rafael Dos Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Winston Howard and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dos Santos walks into a straight right hand from Pereira.

Pereira wants to control but Dos Santos postures up.

Pereira does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Dos Santos looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Horrible takedown attempt by Dos Santos or perhaps it was just good defense by Pereira, which made it look bad.

Pereira wants to land a leg kick but Dos Santos is out of range.
Pereira comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Pereira closes the distance and clinches up with Dos Santos, looking for a takedown. Pereira pushes Dos Santos against the cage but Dos Santos circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dos Santos throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pereira was covering up waiting for the punch and Dos Santos finishes the takedown easily into guard.
