Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adam Heard (ranked 3376 p4p, 3181 weight class) and Jake Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jake Knight will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Heard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jake Knight!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight throws a lazy uppercut

and Heard holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Knight blocks an uppercut.
Heard leaning his opponent against the cage.
Heard content to slow the pace in the clinch.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Heard for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
Heard prevents Knight from breaking the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Heard decides to pull guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Heard holds on and takes a little breather.
Heard has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Heard keeping moving, preventing Knight from controlling successfully.
Heard pulls Knight in close to prevent any damage.
Knight wants to control from the top but Heard keeps moving.
Heard is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Heard has control of Knight's left arm, preventing Knight from doing any damage.

Heard looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Knight passes into half guard.
Heard tries to get to full guard but Knight has control of the leg.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Heard doesn't succeed with the takedown
letting Knight counter with a right hand.
Heard is breathing heavily.
Knight cracks Heard with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Heard falls to his knees and Knight doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
