Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Cast (ranked 4349 p4p, 4372 weight class) and David Light House (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Light House feints and as Cast raises his hands in defense, Light House changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Light House controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Cast wants to stand up but Light House is controlling him.
Light House is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Let's hope that Light House has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Cast is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Light House with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Light House gets to his feet - Cast follows without any prompting.

and Light House counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Cast is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Cast is bucking up trying to escape but Light House cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like Light House might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Light House is working for a guillotine from mount but Cast frees his head quite easily.

Cast's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Light House lands a nice shot to the head.
Cast is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Light House lands with some strikes.
Light House pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
BOOM! Light House connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Cast is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

David Light House dominated that round.
That's time! Cast's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Light House takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Cast fails to land with a series of punches.
Cast scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like David Light House has been cut.

Light House shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cast napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Cast is trying to get back to his feet.
Light House has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Light House decides to stand up, so the ref orders Cast to his feet.

Cast lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Cast.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cast throws a series of punches but Light House moves out of range.

and Light House counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Light House controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Cast knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Light House on the ground.
Light House works over Cast with some ground and pound from guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Light House 's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Light House stands and steps away. Cast gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Light House counters by clinching up.

Light House decides to pull guard.
Light House is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cast is controlling him.
Light House is pulling down on Cast's head. It's preventing any offense from Cast, at least for the moment.

Light House is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Cast avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Light House is controlling Cast's posture.

Light House looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Light House pulls Cast in close to his closed guard and prevents Cast from doing any damage or advancing position.
Light House throwing rabbit punches from the bottom - showing the judges that he's keeping busy.
Light House manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cast manages to get himself to full guard.

Light House perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Cast looks like he's trying to stand up.

Light House is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cast is just riding it out for now. Light House eventually gives up the hold.

David Light House showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Light House bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cast's guard.

Light House advances to half guard.
Well, if Light House is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Light House is looking for a kimura but Cast is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Light House to get the leverage.
Cast is looking to get back to is feet but Light House passes into side control.
Cast wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Light House is continuing to stall.
Cast is trying to stand back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
What can Cast do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Light House patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?

Cast is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Light House gets his way!
