Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rupert Everton (ranked 4396 p4p, 6771 weight class) and Bryant Brown (ranked 366 p4p, 443 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Phil Schofield and Andrew Berry.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown slips under a jab.
Everton lands a jab to the nose.
Everton missing with a left hand there. Brown was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Brown looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A big left from Everton misses.
And Brown tries to counter it with a takedown but Everton pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Nice straight punches there by Everton. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Everton.
Everton throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Brown shoots in looking for a takedown but Everton manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brown's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Brown tries to score with a low kick but Everton moves his leg out of the way.

Everton tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Brown was well out of range. Poor timing from Everton.
Brown shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Everton as he avoids it easily.

Brown clinches up with Everton and pushes him back against the cage.

Brown's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Brown is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Everton is aware though and is defending well.

Brown has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Everton is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Brown.

Brown is taking a breather. Everton says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rupert Everton.
I think Brown has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
