Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Don Shield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miikka Milhouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Milhouse has chosen Scorpions Rock you like a hurricane as his entrance music. Don Shield has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shield shoots in looking for a takedown. Milhouse tries to sprawl out of it but Shield keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Milhouse manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Shield drives through with a takedown into guard.

Milhouse is looking for a triangle but Shield pushes his legs off easily.
Shield stands up over Milhouse, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Shield keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Milhouse's head.
Shield throws and elbow that misses. Milhouse uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Shield's guard. Nice move by Milhouse!

Shield is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Shield wriggles free and stands up.

Milhouse shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Milhouse showed some decent athleticism there.
Shield is breathing heavily.
Shield makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Shield.

Shield is looking to sweep but instead, Milhouse has passed into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Milhouse tries to stand and escape but Shield is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Milhouse is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Shield defends it well.

Shield throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Milhouse manages to pass to side control.

Milhouse stands up and we're back to a striking position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Milhouse drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Shield wants to control but Milhouse postures up.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

You can see the frustration on Shield's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Shield closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Shield is looking to improve his position but Milhouse isn't that keen on the idea.
Milhouse lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Milhouse is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Milhouse!
