Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between FiveX Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Jonesy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carwin comes to the cage accompanied by big hands. Jonesy has chosen CASH MONEY as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Jonesy!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jonesy moves out of range of the leg kick from Carwin.
Jonesy defending well as Carwin loads up on a big left hand.
Jonesy shoots for a double leg takedown but Carwin sprawls well. He's pushed Jonesy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Carwin rushes Jonesy and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Carwin lands a nice elbow from the clinch.


It looks like David Jonesy has been cut.
Carwin changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jonesy fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Carwin misses with a looping left.
Carwin throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jonesy will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

David Jonesy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Carwin drives through and clinches with Jonesy against the cage.

Jonesy takes an elbow to the forehead.
Carwin lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Carwin unloads a knee to the mid-section. Jonesy lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Carwin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Carwin throws a hook to the side of Jonesy's head but Jonesy sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Carwin tests Jonesy's chin there with a solid looking shot.


That has opened up David Jonesy's cut even more.
Carwin jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Carwin moves into the clinch.

Carwin connects with a nasty looking knee right to Jonesy's face.

Carwin lands an elbow that stopped Jonesy in his tracks for a moment.


The cut above David Jonesy's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Carwin creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Jonesy's defenses.
Carwin lands a nice knee to the body.

Carwin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Carwin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jonesy takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Carwin lands a nice shot that snaps Jonesy's head back.

Jonesy wants to clinch

and Carwin counters by moving into the clinch.
Jonesy takes an elbow to the temple.
Carwin lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

A short body shot lands from Carwin as the two fighters clinch.

Carwin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jonesy bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Carwin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jonesy moves away.

Carwin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Jonesy wants to sweep but no luck.
Carwin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Carwin stays in close to Jonesy's body and controls the position.

Carwin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

A big right from Carwin misses.
Jonesy shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Carwin throws a hook but Jonesy avoids it easily.

and Carwin counters with a nice uppercut.

Carwin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jonesy sprawls well initially but Carwin persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Jonesy wants to control but Carwin is keeping busy and won't allow it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Carwin closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jonesy to the mat! Jonesy manages to get full guard.

and Carwin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Carwin perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Jonesy wants to improve his position but Carwin is controlling well.
Carwin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jonesy on the ground.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Carwin has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Jonesy regains guard immediately.

Jonesy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Carwin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Jonesy is tightening it up a little... Carwin has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Carwin reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Carwin taps out! nice BJJ there by Jonesy!
