Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between King Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Tyre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kong comes to the cage accompanied by Faint. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Steve Tyre enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, King Kong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Tyre!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kong on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Tyre. Tyre obviously looking to wear him down.
Tyre looks to throw the jab but Kong is out of range.
A punch combination from Tyre misses.
Tyre shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kong pinned against the cage. Kong gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tyre tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kong paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Tyre gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Tyre is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kong is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kong trying to control but Tyre is working from the bottom.
Kong stops Tyre from standing up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kong working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Tyre's head.
Tyre not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Tyre keeping moving, preventing Kong from controlling successfully.
Tyre throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Tyre throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Kong counters with a shoot takedown. Tyre fights it but they end up in guard.

Kong is working Tyre over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Tyre is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kong is controlling him.
Kong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tyre swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tyre throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Tyre throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Tyre has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Kong won't allow Tyre to sweep him here.
Tyre lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kong!
Kong tries to hold on but Tyre pushes him away.
Kong is working to get back to half guard.

Kong is squirming around, avoiding Tyre's attempts to control the action.
Tyre misses with a head shot.
Kong sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Tyre lands with a punch from half guard.
Kong is trying to maintain the position but Tyre is very close to passing his half guard.
Kong strikes from the bottom but Tyre passes into mount!
Tyre lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Kong hang on?
Kong keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Kong holds on to Tyre as tight as he can, avoiding damage.

Kong is breathing heavily.
Tyre cracks Kong with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kong takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Tyre fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tyre has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kong's face.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steve Tyre dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Tyre has his takedown stuffed

and Kong counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Tyre!

Kong lands a big shot there that rocks Tyre but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kong cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Kong is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Kong not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Tyre throws a right and a left that Kong avoids nicely.

Kong goes for a takedown in the clinch but Tyre prevents it.

Kong gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
King Kong overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Tyre utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Tyre wants to get back to his feet but Kong is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Tyre is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

Steve Tyre comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Tyre has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
