PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Hassan Fezzik (ranked 24197 p4p, 24190 weight class) and Joe Armstrong (ranked 252 p4p, 230 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Armstrong's choice of entrance music: Team America - America, Fuck Yeah!. On his way into the ring it seems that Hassan Fezzik has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Hassan Fezzik seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fezzik connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

It looks like Joe Armstrong has been cut.

Armstrong drives through and clinches with Fezzik against the ropes.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Armstrong lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Fezzik blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Fezzik lands a body shot.
Fezzik wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Armstrong has him pressed against the ropes.
Armstrong misses with a hook from the clinch.

Fezzik escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Armstrong instigates a clinch.
Armstrong doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Armstrong throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Fezziks head.
Fezzik throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Armstrong blocks it with crossed arms.
Fezzik with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

The crowd are calling 'kneeees!' as Fezzik has the Thai clinch. Fezzik obliges, smashing a knee brutally into Armstrong's nose and sending him crashing to the canvas! Will be beat the count?! 3,4,5,6,7,8...9... and he's up on 9! Wow, that was close! The referee takes a long look and is going to allow it to continue!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Armstrong instigates a clinch.
Fezzik with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Fezzik breaks the clinch.
Armstrong cracks Fezzik with a right hand to the side of the head.
Armstrong lands a right hook to the body.
Fezzik looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Armstrong avoids the head kick by Fezzik.
Armstrong tries to counter with a clinch but Fezzik shakes him off and moves away.

Armstrong rushes Fezzik and presses him up against the ropes.
Fezzik blocks an uppercut.
Still in the clinch, Armstrong scores with a nice short uppercut.
Armstrong swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Armstrong can't find room to land a body shot as Fezzik controls the action.
Fezzik looking to throw knees to the head but Armstrong is blocking nicely.
Armstrong swings wildly with an uppercut but Fezzik uses good head movement to avoid it.
Fezzik lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Armstrong backwards.

Armstrong misses with some punches.
Fezzik with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

That has opened up Joe Armstrong's cut even more.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fezzik blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Armstrong lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Fezzik or not.

Fezzik blocks an uppercut.
Armstrong lands a body punch.

Fezzik pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Armstrong rushes Fezzik and presses him up against the ropes.

Fezzik escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Armstrong clinches.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Armstrong creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Fezzik lands a nice knee to the body.
Fezzik throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Armstrong blocks it with crossed arms.
Armstrong misses with a hook from the clinch.

Fezzik breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fight stays on the outside here - Armstrong looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Fezzik gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Fezzik pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Armstrong comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Fezzik shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

It looks like Hassan Fezzik has been cut.
Armstrong throws the left hand but Fezzik avoids the punch easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fezzik works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Fezzik avoids the body shot from Armstrong.

Fezzik staggers Armstrong with a jab and knocks him down with a follow up straight! Armstrong looks in trouble, will he beat the count?! The count has reached 5 and he's only back to 1 knee - it's going to be close! 6,7,8 - he's up! Just in time and the ref is going to let the fight continue!

Armstrong is rocked!

The cut above Joe Armstrong's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Armstrong closes the distance and clinches.
Fezzik throws a head punch that misses.
Armstrong takes a knee right on the jaw!

Joe Armstrong's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Joe Armstrong's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Hassan Fezzik!
Joe Armstrong spoke after the fight, saying 'God bless America! We will fucking nuke you ALL!'.
