Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between mad mic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ralph Goon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). mad mic has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, mad mic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goon lands a straight punch to the body, keeping mic at a distance.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
mic avoids a wild elbow strike from Goon.
mic stops a takedown attempt from Goon.

Goon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Goon drops back, looking for a kneebar! mic looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. mic looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from mic!
Goon tries to bench press mic off him but mic keeps the position.
mic really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
mic staying calm.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Goon is not content to let mic control the position.

mic is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Goon knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Goon tries to bench press mic off him but mic keeps the position.

mic is breathing heavily.
Goon is looking to clinch.

Goon closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
mic stalling in the clinch but Goon improves position.
Goon is leaning against mic and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Goon just misses with a elbow thrown towards mic's brow.
Goon goes for a takedown in the clinch but mic prevents it.
Goon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as mic walks away with a smile on his face. Goon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
mad mic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ralph Goon.

Goon looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Goon throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
mic holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Goon thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed mic's head.

Goon trying to mount his opponent but mic defends it.
mic has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Goon is working away from the top position though.
mic looks like he's trying to stand up.
Goon is keen to just control but mic is a slippery customer.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
mic tries to close the distance and clinch but Goon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Goon doesn't manage to clinch there - mic circles away.
Goon shoots in but no luck this time.
Goon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? mic is fending him off so far but Goon persists. Nope, mic circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close round but I would say that mad mic will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

mic feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Goon digs a right hand underneath mic's ribcage. mic let out a lung full of air as it connected.

mic stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Goon swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Goon has mic pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. mic manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
mad mic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ralph Goon.
mic tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Goon jumps guard but mic stands there with Goon around his waist. Goon gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

mic pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Goon scores with a one two! mic had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Goon tries to clinch but mic moves out of range.
Goon clinches but mic breaks the clinch
and mic counters with a nice body kick.
Goon stuffs the takedown attempt from mic. mic gets slowly back to his feet.

mic gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Goon landing with the ground and pound.
Goon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with mic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
mic wants to get back to his feet but Goon is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

You can see the frustration on mic's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
mic misses with a body shot.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
