The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lumberjack throws a leg kick but Toppolton sees it coming and checks it nicely.
No joy there for Lumberjack, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lumberjack misses with a head kick.
Toppolton fails to land the takedown.

Lumberjack takes the fight into the clinch.
A left hand lands to the body for Lumberjack.
Toppolton is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Lumberjack escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Toppolton takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Lumberjack stuffs the takedown attempt from Toppolton. Toppolton gets slowly back to his feet.
Toppolton shoots for a double leg takedown but Lumberjack sprawls well. He's pushed Toppolton's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kevin Lumberjack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eddie Toppolton.
Lumberjack lands a right hook to the body.
Toppolton fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Toppolton blocks a head kick by Lumberjack.
A head kick lands from Lumberjack that sends Toppolton to the canvas. Toppolton tries to scramble back to his feet but Lumberjack brings him back down into side control.

Toppolton is rocked!

It looks like Eddie Toppolton has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lumberjack scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Toppolton is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Lumberjack can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
