Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Robson Piddu (ranked 4535 p4p, 4832 weight class) and Test Guy (ranked 494 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robson Piddu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Test Guy!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piddu shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Guy eats them both and turns towards Piddu to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Guy throws a sloppy head kick
and Piddu counters with a nice body kick.
Robson Piddu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Guy throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Piddu was covering up waiting for the punch and Guy finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Piddu is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Guy tries to free his leg and advance position but Piddu is retaining full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Piddu is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Guy controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Guy must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Guy postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Piddu is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Guy, into his guard.
Guy wants to stand but Piddu is controlling the position.
Piddu gets to his feet. Guy looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Guy misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Guy closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Piddu to the mat! Piddu manages to get full guard.

Guy loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

It looks like Guy might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Robson Piddu will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Piddu swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Guy with the counter takedown but Piddu avoids it easily.
Piddu scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Guy throws a left and a right that both miss
and Piddu counters with a one-two to the body.
Guy closes the distance and clinches.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Piddu lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Guy is striking off his back. Piddu thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Guy tries to get to full guard but Piddu has control of the leg.

Guy keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Piddu frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Poor strikes thrown by Piddu there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Guy looks out of his depth in this position - he's holding on tight.
Guy is wriggling around trying to escape.
Guy tries to hold on but Piddu pushes him away.
Guy can't escape the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Guy can do anything to dispel that myth.
Piddu misses with a head shot.
Guy is looking to improve his position but Piddu isn't that keen on the idea.

Guy tries to hold on but Piddu postures up.
Guy chipping away with body shots but they're not going to hurt Piddu.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Piddu cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Piddu lands a couple of good shots and Guy has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Piddu gets his hands free as Guy looks to control.
Piddu is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Guy can do to turn this around?
Guy is really stuck here.

Guy trying to get back to his feet but Piddu is in full control for now.

Piddu somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Guy tries to escape the position.
Guy needs to remain patient if he's going to get out of this sticky situation.
Guy wants to control his opponent's hands but Piddu gets his hands free.
Piddu is landing with strikes from the back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Piddu tries to get the hooks in deep but Guy pushed the leg off.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Piddu is persistently looking for the submission but Guy is defending it well.
Guy is really stuck here.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Robson Piddu dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Guy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A nice combination there by Piddu.

Guy manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Piddu on his heels. He'll look to pass Piddu's guard now, I'm sure.

Guy not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Guy's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Guy wanted to stand there but Piddu had control of the position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Guy wants to stand and escape but instead Piddu has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Piddu in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Guy wants to control but Piddu passes easily into half guard.
Guy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Piddu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Piddu wants to take a breather but Guy is having none of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Piddu, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
