Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Red Cup (ranked 4022 p4p, 4091 weight class) and Chief Tomahawk (ranked 487 p4p, 498 weight class). The key to victory for Red Cup has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Red Cup!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Tomahawk!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tomahawk shoots in for a double leg but Cup sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Tomahawk changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cup tries to avoid it but Tomahawk manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cup to the ground. Cup escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Cup throws a body shot but no joy.
Cup throws a looping overhand right but Tomahawk ducks down to avoid it.

Tomahawk dives in and scores a takedown into Cup's guard.

Cup kicks Tomahawk off and gets to his feet.
Tomahawk tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cup swivels and escapes.
Red Cup has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chief Tomahawk.
Tomahawk shoots for a double leg takedown but Cup sprawls well. He's pushed Tomahawk's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tomahawk throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Cup throws a right and a left that Tomahawk avoids nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

It looks like Chief Tomahawk has been cut.
Cup throws a right and a left that both miss.
Tomahawk shoots in for a takedown but Cup shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Cup throws a sloppy head kick and Tomahawk moves out of range easily.
Cup misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tomahawk shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cup as he avoids it easily.
Tomahawk tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cup swivels and escapes.
Cup cracks Tomahawk with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Tomahawk shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cup but Cup pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Tomahawk looking to score a takedown here. Cup is defending well but Tomahawk drives through and ends up in Cup's guard.

Cup wants to stand and escape but Tomahawk is having none of it.
Tomahawk throws an elbow that misses. Cup uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tomahawk's guard. Nice move by Cup!

Tomahawk is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Cup slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
We've been hearing that Cup has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Tomahawk is looking for a sweep.
Cup trying to control the action but Tomahawk is working from the bottom.
Cup in side control, throwing shots but Tomahawk defends.
Tomahawk regains half guard there - taking advantage of Cup's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Cup wants to free his trapped foot but Tomahawk is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Cup wants to take a breather but Tomahawk is having none of it.
Cup is taking a breather. Tomahawk says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Cup is looking to take a break and control but Tomahawk is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Cup is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Tomahawk is staying active underneath Cup, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Tomahawk moves into full guard.
Tomahawk pulls Cup in close to his closed guard and prevents Cup from doing any damage or advancing position.
Tomahawk keeping moving, preventing Cup from controlling successfully.
Cup is really struggling to control Tomahawk but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Tomahawk shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cup as he jumps to the side.

Tomahawk feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Tomahawk in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tomahawk accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Red Cup dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Chief Tomahawk's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Tomahawk closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Cup did well to prevent Tomahawk getting side control.

Cup pushes Tomahawk off and gets back to his feet.
Cup is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tomahawk can do to turn this around?
Tomahawk uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cup.
Tomahawk fails to land the takedown.
Tomahawk takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Tomahawk shoots in and bounces Cup off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cup escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tomahawk gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Tomahawk lands a couple of elbows.
Tomahawk chips away with some ground and pound.
Tomahawk throws an elbow that misses. Cup uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tomahawk's guard. Nice move by Cup!

Cup is looking to advance position but Tomahawk has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Red Cup overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Tomahawk cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Cup takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Tomahawk postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Cup looks a forlorn figure.

Cup is rocked!
Cup is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Cup is in a horrible position here. Tomahawk smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Oh Cup is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cup is trying to stand.
Tomahawk lands a couple of good shots and Cup has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Tomahawk is trying to control but Cup is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tomahawk scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Tomahawk cracks Cup with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chief Tomahawk!
Chief Tomahawk thanked the fans post fight for their support.
Red Cup was interviewed post fight and said 'That wasn't fun.'.
