Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, chuck Bain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Peter Rabbit!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bain throws a head kick that misses.
Rabbit fails to land with a series of punches.
Bain throws a lazy right hand but Rabbit sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rabbit shoots in but Bain avoids the takedown attempt easily.
No luck for Rabbit with that takedown attempt.

Rabbit scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Rabbit throws an elbow but Bain slips to the side and avoids it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rabbit lands a decent elbow from side control.
Rabbit sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Bain is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Bain takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Bain on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

Rabbit is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bain is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Rabbit wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bain keeps working.

Rabbit is looking to take a break and control but Bain is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rabbit thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Rabbit tries to score with some ground and pound. Bain controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Bain is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Rabbit is controlling him well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bain misses with a jab, cross combination.

Rabbit shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Rabbit lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Rabbit won't allow Bain to get back to his feet.

Rabbit wants to control from the top but Bain keeps moving.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rabbit prevents Bain from getting back to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Rabbit changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bain tries to avoid it but Rabbit manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bain to the ground. Bain escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Rabbit fails with an attempt to clinch.

Bain scores with a nice strike.
Rabbit is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Bain throws a head kick that misses.
Rabbit doesn't manage to clinch there - Bain circles away.

Rabbit pushes Bain up against the cage in a clinch.
Rabbit can't get the takedown.
Rabbit is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bain gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Bain can't break the clinch.
Bain avoids the elbow strike from Rabbit, against the cage.
Bain tries to break the clinch but Rabbit is controlling the position.
Bain is looking to break free of the clinch but Rabbit has double underhooks.
Bain is trying to break the clinch but Rabbit has him pressed against the cage.

Bain's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rabbit shoots in for a double leg but Bain sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Rabbit is looking to clinch.
Bain lands with a cross.
chuck Bain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bain looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bain misses with a double jab
and Rabbit counters with a two punch combo.
Rabbit tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bain fails to land with a series of punches.
Bain cracks Rabbit with a good jab.
Bain misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Rabbit scores a takedown into full mount!
Rabbit wants to control the pace but Bain is squirming around nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peter Rabbit dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Rabbit slips a jab and a cross from Bain.
Bain swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rabbit goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Bain works over Rabbit's head and body with a nice combination.
Rabbit closes the distance and clinches up with Bain, looking for a takedown. Rabbit pushes Bain against the cage but Bain circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Rabbit changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bain tries to avoid it but Rabbit manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bain to the ground. Bain escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Rabbit moves into the clinch successfully.

Rabbit breaks the clinch.
Rabbit slips a jab from Bain.
Bain misses with a hook. Rabbit ducked under it nicely.
Bain stuffs the takedown attempt from Rabbit. Rabbit gets slowly back to his feet.
chuck Bain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Rabbit.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bain cracks Rabbit with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bain misses with a combination

and Rabbit counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bain!
Bain wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Rabbit working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Bain looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Rabbit! Submission of the night perhaps?
