Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Solomon Bundy (ranked 5306 p4p, 16006 weight class) and Scott Columbus (ranked 507 p4p, 667 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Columbus's choice of entrance music: Blood Of The Kings. Scott Columbus acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Solomon Bundy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 40 - 35 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Columbus!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Columbus uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bundy.
Bundy lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Bundy moves in looking to clinch but Columbus pushes him off.
Bundy looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Columbus scoring well with a low kick there.
Bundy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Columbus circles away quickly and effectively.
Columbus throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The fighters circling - Columbus throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Columbus has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Columbus uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Columbus tries to land a front kick but Bundy steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Columbus pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Bundy back to the ropes. Columbus follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Bundy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Columbus was well out of range. Poor timing from Bundy.
Columbus throws a body shot but no joy.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bundy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Columbus throws out a loose jab but Bundy uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bundy feints and then cracks Columbus's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Columbus down.
Bundy changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Bundy throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Columbus digs a good hook to Bundy's body.
Bundy throws a body punch but Columbus moves out of range.

Bundy clinches up against the ropes.
Columbus misses with the head strike.
Good body shot from Bundy.
Nice body punch from Bundy - that landed with a thud.
Bundy prevents a body shot from Columbus.
A hook to the body from Columbus.
Bundy stalling in the clinch but Columbus improves position.
Columbus misses with a knee to the head.
Columbus tries to land knees in the clinch but Bundy avoids the damage to the body.

A nice left hand lands by Columbus.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bundy has Columbus pressed against the ropes, preventing Columbus from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
A frustrated look appears on Columbus's face as he tries to break the clinch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Scott Columbus will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.


Columbus lands a front kick to the face, that drops Bundy to the canvas! Is he dazed or just shocked? He's back to his feet and the referee is going to allow him to continue the fight!

Columbus drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Bundy walks into a straight right hand and goes down! Columbus rushes to a neutral corner so the count doesn't get delayed but Bundy has made it back to his feet on 5. He's OK so we're back to the action.
Solomon Bundy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bundy tries to close the distance and clinch but Columbus swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Columbus swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Scott Columbus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Columbus lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Columbus digs a good hook to Bundy's body.

Columbus closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Columbus throws a punch but it's blocked by Bundy.
Columbus misses with the head strike.
Bundy throws a head punch that misses.
Bundy trying to control the position but instead, Columbus has worked for underhooks and has pushed Bundy into the ropes.
Bundy blocks an elbow strike.

Columbus is working Bundy over against the ropes.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Columbus has a couple of punches blocked by Bundy.
Bundy fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Columbus's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bundy displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Bundy takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Columbus lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Columbus is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Bundy rather than just go for the knockout.
Columbus closes the distance and lands a lead uppercut that stumbles Bundy back against the ropes! Columbus follows up with a jab and a huge straight right that knocks Bundy out cold! What a finish! Columbus looks absolutely delighted, as he should do! Congratulations that man!

After the fight, Scott Columbus was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
