Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jake Drake!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Francis DeMontford and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Craven jabs Drake to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Drake slips a jab and a cross from Craven.
Craven just misses with a punch to the body.
Craven looks to score with a jab to the body but Drake is just out of range.
Drake uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Craven.

and Drake counters with a single leg into guard. Craven didn't expect that.

Drake lands a couple of good shots and Craven has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Well, with Drake on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Craven is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Craven is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Drake looking to break Craven's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Craven remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Drake will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Drake has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Drake is persistently looking for the submission but Craven is defending it well.

Drake is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Craven defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Craven breaks Drake's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Craven is looking to work some ground and pound but Drake has wrist control.
Craven has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Craven drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Drake dives on top into guard.

Craven seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Drake's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Drake will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Craven tries a head kick but it misses.
Drake feints the counter takedown.
Craven misses with an uppercut. Drake saw that one coming.
Craven throws a combination that misses

and Drake counters with a nice double leg into side control. Craven won't be happy with that.

Craven wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Drake has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Craven's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Craven is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Drake!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jake Drake!
A relieved looking Jake Drake thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
