Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Justin Bennett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, James Fusi!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Chris Dean and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fusi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bennett is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Fusi.
Fusi looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Bennett missing with a left hand there. Fusi was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Bennett listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

It looks like James Fusi has been cut.
Bennett connects with a body shot.
Fusi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Bennett moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromFusi.
Bennett thuds a left hand into Fusi's body.
Bennett changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bennett misses with a right hand
letting Fusi counter with a right hand.
Bennett bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Fusi's head.
Jab, jab by Bennett - just one landing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bennett throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Fusi to counter with a crisp jab.

Bennett throws out a loose jab but Fusi uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bennett connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Justin Bennett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bennett jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Fusi drops Bennett with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Bennett looks back up at him and smiles so Fusi waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Bennett is rocked!

It looks like Justin Bennett has been cut.
Fusi slips a straight right by Bennett.
Bennett throws a hook but Fusi blocks it.
Bennett throws a shot from downtown. Fusi moves away and avoids it.
Fusi throws a counter combo.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bennett rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Fusi counters with a crisp right hand that drops Bennett! Fusi lets Bennett back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Oh Bennett is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bennett throws a big shot that misses.
Fusi looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
The fighters circling - Bennett throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Fusi lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Bennett seems to have got his legs back now.
Bennett throws an off balance right hand
and Fusi counters with a lovely shot to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fusi moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Bennett displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fusi throws out the jab.
Bennett misses with an uppercut. Fusi saw that one coming.
Fusi unleashes a big counter combination but Bennett bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Fusi moves away from the strike by Bennett.
Bennett moves out of range of the body kick.
An attempted straight right counter from Bennett misses the target.
A jab from Bennett misses.
Fusi lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Bennett lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Bennett ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fusi moves away.
Bennett throws a lazy right hand but Fusi sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Fusi throws a counter combo.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fusi throws a jab but it's blocked by Bennett.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Fusi moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Bennett! Fusi continues to tee off on Bennett, landing with a left and a right! Fusi connects with a right hand that leaves Bennett sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Fusi!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). James Fusi!
An intense looking James Fusi took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'I hope Babinski is ok and wil recover. Sorry dude!'.
