Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Everette (ranked 1936 p4p, 3646 weight class) and Lopaka Tanaka (ranked 244 p4p, 446 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kyle Everette!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lopaka Tanaka!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Everette throws a jab but it's blocked by Tanaka.
Everette misses with a looping right.
Tanaka moves out of range of the strikes.
Everette feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Tanakas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Tanaka's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Tanaka duly obliges.

It looks like Kyle Everette has been cut.
The fighters circle momentarily. Everette darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Lopaka Tanaka has been cut.
Everette catches Tanaka with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Tanaka blocks a jab.
Everette misses with an uppercut
and Tanaka counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A big left from Tanaka misses.
Everette throws an overhand right that lands on Tanaka's shoulder, as Tanaka tries to avoid the shot.
Everette scores with a jab to the head.
Everette throws a poor cross that misses
and Tanaka counters with a left to the body.
Tanaka has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Tanaka there as he acknowledges the shot.
Tanaka scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Everette doesn't seem bothered though.
Tanaka connects with a jab.
Tanaka uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Everette.
Tanaka fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Everette looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Everette throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Tanaka closes the distance and clinches.
Everette throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Everette is trying to pull guard but Tanaka has him pressed against the cage.
A body shot lands from Tanaka.
Everette is breathing heavily.
Tanaka gets through Everette's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Everette is rocked!
Everette takes a shot to the head.
Oh Everette is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tanaka lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Everette.
Tanaka creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Everette's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Everette drops to his knees and Tanaka pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lopaka Tanaka!
Lopaka Tanaka very nearly forgot to thank Brooklyn Apothecary amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
