Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lispen Familia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Chris Carter has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lispen Familia!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Familia circles away quickly and effectively.
Carter moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Familia goes down! Can Carter finish him!?

It looks like Lispen Familia has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Familia has his foot on Carter's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Carter works his way back into a safe position though.
Carter with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Carter wants to stand and escape but instead Familia has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Carter bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Familia's guard.
Familia has a closed guard, preventing Carter from standing up.
Carter in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Carter has gone for a leg lock! Familia slips out almost immediately though and dives into Carter's guard.

Familia drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Familia jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Carter throws a nice elbow from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Familia passes Carter's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Familia is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Carter keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Carter flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Carter tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carter is pressing down on Familia's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Carter thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Carter has his feet on Familia's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Carter misses the jab.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Familia throws the left hand but Carter avoids the punch easily.
Familia will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Familia looks gassed!
Carter scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Familia doesn't seem bothered though.
Carter is looking to clinch.
Carter lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Carter moves into the clinch.
Carter just leaning against Familia, taking a breather.

Carter manages to break the clinch.
A slow jab from Familia misses its intended target.
Carter scores with a jab.

That has opened up Lispen Familia's cut even more.
Carter tests Familia's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Carter lands with an overhand left.

The cut above Lispen Familia's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Carter drops Familia with a big left hand and mounts him. Familia is in big trouble!

Familia is rocked!
Carter with the ground and pound from mount.
Familia is still in real trouble! Can Carter finish him?

Lispen Familia's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Lispen Familia's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
