The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nascimento walks into a stiff left hand from Kodjia.
Kodjia jabs at Nascimento's body.
Kodjia pulls out of a head kick attempt.
It seemed like Nascimento was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Kodjia misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kodjia misses with a telegraphed body shot
enabling Nascimento to counter with a crisp jab.
Nascimento throws a hook but Kodjia blocks it.
Kodjia connects with a body shot.
Kodjia connects with a right hand. Nascimento shakes it off.

It looks like Yago Nascimento has been cut.
Kodjia throws a series of punches but Nascimento moves out of range.
Nascimento moves forwards but Kodjia connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Kodjia throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
As Kodjia backs off Nascimento throws a huge counter combo but Kodjia manages to avoid it all.
Kodjia misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Nascimento counters with a good, hard body kick but Kodjia shrugs it off.
Kodjia throws the left hand but Nascimento avoids the punch easily.
Kodjia throws a leg kick
and Nascimento counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Nascimento keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nascimento defending well as Kodjia loads up on a big left hand.
Nascimento appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Kodjia connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Nascimento's hands.
Kodjia throws a poor cross that misses

and Nascimento counters with a crisp one two that drops Kodjia! Nascimento thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Kodjia to his feet! Kodjia is in big trouble!
Kodjia takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kodjia misses with a shot to the body
and Nascimento counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kodjia tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A little jabbing left from Nascimento on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
A slapping leg kick lands for Kodjia.
Nascimento scores with a jab to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nascimento only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Nascimento throws a looping overhand right but Kodjia ducks down to avoid it.
Good leg kick by Kodjia.
Nascimento lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kodjia circles away quickly and effectively.
Kodjia swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kodjia uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Nascimento has time to react.
An inside leg kick from Nascimento misses.
Kodjia misses with an uppercut
and Nascimento counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kodjia thinking.
Nascimento thuds a left hand into Kodjia's body.
Kodjia is breathing heavily.
Kodjia takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
It looks like Kodjia has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Kodjia takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Nascimento lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kodjia's sensitive parts.

Nascimento throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kodjia stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Nascimento throws out a powerful jab.

It looks like Franck Kodjia has been cut.
Nascimento lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Kodjia misses with a lunging right hand
and Nascimento counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kodjia fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Nascimento is out of range.
Kodjia throws a right hand that misses
and Nascimento counters with a big right hand! Oh Kodjia is in trouble here! Nascimento follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
