Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcio Alvarez (ranked 2569 p4p, 4339 weight class) and Yasol Kim (ranked 77 p4p, 128 weight class). Yasol Kim will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcio Alvarez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yasol Kim!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Viktor Lagutenko and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim throws a shot to the body.
Kim throws a half hearted mid kick.
Kim just misses with a punch to the body.
Alvarez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Alvarez closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kim to the mat! Kim manages to get full guard.
Alvarez controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alvarez moves forwards but Kim connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Yasol Kim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kim takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Alvarez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kim tries to avoid it but Alvarez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kim to the ground. Kim escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kim fakes the leg kick and cracks Alvarez in the body.
Kim wants to clinch.

Alvarez takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Alvarez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Kim moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Alvarez shoots in for a double leg but Kim sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Alvarez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kim sprawls well. Kim wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Alvarez gets slowly back to his feet.
Alvarez tries for a takedown but Kim sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Alvarez has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kim avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Kim throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Alvarez is still looking wobbly from the end of the last round!
Kim lands a body shot.
Oh Alvarez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kim fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Kim stuffs the takedown attempt from Alvarez. Alvarez gets slowly back to his feet.

Alvarez seems to have got his legs back now.
Kim scores with a kick to the body.
Alvarez takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Kim tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Alvarez swivels and escapes.
Alvarez on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Kim catches Alvarez with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Kim has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Kim shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Alvarez as he avoids it easily.
Alvarez quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Yasol Kim seems to be getting the better of the standup.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Alvarez takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Horrible takedown attempt by Kim or perhaps it was just good defense by Alvarez, which made it look bad.
Marcio Alvarez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yasol Kim.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kim is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Alvarez's half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Alvarez seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kim for as long as he can get away with.

Kim is pulling down on Alvarez's head. It's preventing any offense from Alvarez, at least for the moment.

Kim scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Alvarez doesn't seem bothered though.
Kim comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kim keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
It seemed like Kim was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Alvarez looks for a takedown but Kim sprawls well.

Kim is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Alvarez rather than just go for the knockout.
Alvarez dives in for a single leg takedown but Kim sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Alvarez drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kim gets the underhooks and prevents it.

I've got Kim winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
