Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Calle Hogerstrom (ranked 4103 p4p, 5445 weight class) and Borat Sagidiev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Calle Hogerstrom is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Calle Hogerstrom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Borat Sagidiev!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Konstantin Menshow and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sagidiev moves out of range of the strikes.
Nice body punch from Hogerstrom.
Hogerstrom's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Hogerstrom duly obliges.
Sagidiev throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hogerstrom.
Sagidiev is looking to clinch.
Hogerstrom was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Sagidiev changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hogerstrom tries to avoid it but Sagidiev manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hogerstrom to the ground. Hogerstrom escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hogerstrom missing with a left hand there. Sagidiev was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A punch lands to the side of Sagidiev 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Calle Hogerstrom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Borat Sagidiev.
Sagidiev takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sagidiev moves in looking to clinch but Hogerstrom pushes him off.

Sagidiev looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Sagidiev is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Hogerstrom with a body shot.
Sagidiev gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

and Hogerstrom connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hogerstrom connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sagidiev. Sagidiev circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Sagidiev shoots in and drives through. Hogerstrom sprawls well.

Hogerstrom slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sagidiev has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sagidiev there as he acknowledges the shot.
Hogerstrom is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Sagidiev takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Hogerstrom throws a jab but it's blocked by Sagidiev.
Hogerstrom smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Sagidiev shoots in looking for a takedown but Hogerstrom manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sagidiev's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

A frustrated look appears on Hogerstrom's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Sagidiev.
Hogerstrom wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sagidiev has him pressed against the cage.
Sagidiev jumps guard but Hogerstrom stands there with Sagidiev around his waist. Sagidiev gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Sagidiev is striking from the bottom but Hogerstrom uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.

Hogerstrom seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sagidiev does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Hogerstrom could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sagidiev preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sagidiev has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hogerstrom is working away from the top position though.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sagidiev can do anything to dispel that myth.
Sagidiev tries to get to full guard but Hogerstrom has control of the leg.
Sagidiev pushes Hogerstrom off looking to stand but Hogerstrom dives back in and keeps control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Sagidiev moves to clinch but Hogerstrom breaks away
and Hogerstrom cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sagidiev doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Hogerstrom counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
