Biernat shoots in and gets a takedown into Vonshredder's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Biernat accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Biernat passes Vonshredder's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Vonshredder is defending against the submission attempts here by Biernat.
Vonshredder pushes Biernat off looking to stand but Biernat dives back in and keeps control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
