The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Little misses

and John holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
John lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
John trying to stall but Little improves his position.
A short body shot lands from John as the two fighters clinch.
John is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Little is keeping busy.
John unloads a knee to the mid-section.
John with an attempt at a knee that misses.
John creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Little's defenses.
John creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Little trying to stall but John improves his position.
Little scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
With the two fighters working up against the ropes, John just misses with a elbow thrown towards Little's brow.
Little misses with the head strike.
Little takes an elbow to the temple.

Little wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

John tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Little has had enough of the clinch but John keeps him there for the moment.

Little breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Little throws a hook but John blocks it.
John appears to be looking for a big counter.
Little tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but John was well out of range. Poor timing from Little.
It looked like John wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Little throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

and John counters by clinching up.

Little tries to break the clinch but John is controlling the position.
Little wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
John lands a knee to the head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
