Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rect Umm (ranked 36 p4p, 122 weight class) and Kazuma Kuwabara (ranked 6 p4p, 24 weight class). Kuwabara comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kazuma Kuwabara Theme kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuwabara looks to land a combination but Umm avoids it well.
Kuwabara looks to score with a jab to the body but Umm is just out of range.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kuwabara has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

It looks like Umm has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Umm stuffs the takedown attempt from Kuwabara. Kuwabara gets slowly back to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kuwabara uses his free foot to push down on Umm's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Umm.
Kuwabara goes for an armbar but Umm turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Umm.
Umm knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kuwabara on the ground.
Umm wants to stand but Kuwabara has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Kazuma Kuwabara will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!
Kuwabara closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Kuwabara tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Kuwabara swings around for an armbar but Umm sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kuwabara's guard.
Umm has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Kuwabara to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Umm is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Kuwabara pulls down on the head and he's put Umm to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Kazuma Kuwabara!
