The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lips throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cook looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Lips fails with a takedown attempt.
Lips walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

It looks like Phill Lips has been cut.
Lips needs to keep his hands up - Cook had a free shot at his head there.
Cook sizes up Lips with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Solomon Cook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lips moves out of range of the body kick.
Lips fails in his attempt to clinch.
Cook uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Lips has time to react.
Cook throws an overhand right that drops Lips like a sack of potatoes! Cook dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
