Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Jacobson (ranked 4826 p4p, 4378 weight class) and North Shore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shore lands a big uppercut and Jacobson crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Jacobson looks OK. Shore waves Jacobson back to his feet!

It looks like Marcus Jacobson has been cut.

Shore changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jacobson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Jacobson bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shore avoids the head kick by Jacobson.
Shore shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jacobson as he avoids it easily.
Jacobson seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Shore closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Jacobson's guard.

Jacobson is rocked!

Jacobson is working an open guard so Shore takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Shore looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Shore throws a shot from downtown. Jacobson moves away and avoids it.

Marcus Jacobson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of North Shore.
Jacobson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Shore to keep the fight standing.
Jacobson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Shore pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jacobson tries to clinch but Shore is having none of it.

Shore has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Jacobson.

Shore stands up over Jacobson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Jacobson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Shore connects with a couple of short punches.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shore stands up from Jacobson's guard - Shore perhaps looking for a knockout.
Shore misses the shot to the body.
Jacobson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shore but Shore pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Shore now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Shore shoots in looking for a takedown. Jacobson tries to sprawl out of it but Shore keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jacobson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jacobson looks to land a body kick but Shore moved away.

Shore scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Shore decides to stand up, so the ref orders Jacobson to his feet.
Jacobson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Shore as he avoids it easily.

Jacobson has closed the distance and engaged Shore in a clinch.
Shore is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Jacobson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jacobson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Horrible takedown attempt by Jacobson or perhaps it was just good defense by Shore, which made it look bad.
Shore steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Jacobson.
Jacobson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jacobson wants it to stay on the feet.

Jacobson closes the distance and clinches up with Shore, looking for a takedown. Jacobson pushes Shore against the cage but Shore circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Shore closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jacobson did well to prevent Shore getting side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jacobson takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Shore is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but North Shore will probably get the nod.

A head kick misses from Jacobson.
Jacobson fails in his attempt to clinch.
Shore now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Jacobson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Shore lands a couple of decent looking shots.
North Shore has got the better of the ground game so far.
Shore is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Shore. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jacobson wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Shore is now in half guard.

Jacobson is defending against the submission attempts here by Shore.

Jacobson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Shore moves nicely into side control.
Jacobson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Shore is controlling him well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jacobson can't do much from the bottom here.
Jacobson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jacobson tries to get out of the position.
Shore looks up at the clock and then as Jacobson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Shore smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Jacobson is looking for a sweep.

Shore slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Shore has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Shore working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Jacobson is doing well to defend. Shore seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Jacobson is forced to tap and this one is over!
