Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nate Crown (ranked 5612 p4p, 4128 weight class) and Victor Sloan (ranked 586 p4p, 487 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crown blocks a jab.
Crown displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sloan throws out the jab.

A nice side step and Sloan releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Crown throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sloan's waist but Sloan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Crown off to one side.

Sloan throws a chopping leg kick but Crown manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Crown swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Crown misses with a straight left.
Some bone on bone action there as Crown checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Sloan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Crown.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Crown is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Crown tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sloan defends well and Crown ends up having to push Sloan into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Crown shoots in looking for a takedown but Sloan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Crown's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Sloan cracks Crown with a right hand to the side of the head.
Sloan does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Crown lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Sloan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Crown avoids the body shot from Sloan.
Sloan bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Crown fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Sloan appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

Crown takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Crown gets control of Sloan's arms and successfully pulls guard. Crown will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Victor Sloan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sloan lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Sloan lands a nice hook to Crown's body. Crown takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Sloan moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Sloan in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
