The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Swagger scores with a takedown into Stevens's guard.

Swagger decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Stevens displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Swagger.
Stevens is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Stevens shoots in but Swagger avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Stevens fails with the takedown.
Stevens shoots for a takedown but Swagger saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Rod Swagger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Derrick Stevens.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Swagger moves into the clinch successfully.
Stevens displaying some good clinch control by pressing Swagger up against the cage.
Swagger pushes off an throws an elbow but Stevens leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

A frustrated look appears on Stevens's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Swagger's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Swagger closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Stevens unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Swagger goes for a takedown in the clinch but Stevens prevents it.
Stevens is working for takedown but Swagger is calmly controlling the position for now.

Swagger manages to pull guard.
Swagger seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Swagger working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stevens doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Swagger is tightening it up a little... Stevens has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Stevens reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Stevens taps out! Nice BJJ there by Swagger!
