Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shane Ryan (ranked 3110 p4p, 3083 weight class) and Warren Spade (ranked 409 p4p, 403 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spade waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ryan.

Spade drives through and clinches with Ryan against the cage.

Spade stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Spade wants it to stay on the feet.

Ryan has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Spade is on him like a limpet, forcing Ryan back against the cage.

Ryan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Spade's waist but Spade gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ryan off to one side.

Spade jumps guard and drags Ryan to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Ryan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Spade on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Spade passes into half guard.

Spade stands up and beckons Ryan to join him on the feet.

Spade closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ryan to the mat! Ryan manages to get full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
