Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Julio Chavez (ranked 3498 p4p, 3046 weight class) and Darrion Moss (ranked 464 p4p, 416 weight class). Moss has chosen Can't C Me as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Julio Chavez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darrion Moss!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavez works the jab nicely.
Moss looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Moss has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Chavez throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Moss stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Chavez goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Horrible takedown attempt by Moss or perhaps it was just good defense by Chavez, which made it look bad.

Moss tries to score a power double leg takedown but Chavez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Moss somewhat.

Chavez connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Moss's hands.
Chavez lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Chavez is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Moss can do to turn this around?

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Moss might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Chavez has got the better of the exchanges.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We've been hearing that Chavez has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Moss is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Chavez defends well.
