And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tenho Lahti!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lahti closes the distance but Tillbrook moves to the side

and Tillbrook counters with a single leg into guard. Lahti didn't expect that.
Tillbrook makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tillbrook throws a big elbow that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tillbrook with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Tillbrook has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Lahti really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tillbrook. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lahti utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Tillbrook stops Lahti from standing up.
Tillbrook postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Tillbrook throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lahti works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Lahti wants to stand but Tillbrook is controlling the position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lahti can do anything to dispel that myth.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tillbrook accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Tillbrook is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Lahti pushes Tillbrook off and scrambles back to his feet.
Lahti doesn't manage to clinch there - Tillbrook circles away.
Lahti fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Tillbrook on the side of the head.
Tillbrook doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Lahti counters with a lovely straight right hand!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tillbrook has a takedown stuffed.

Tillbrook gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Lahti counters with a crisp one two that drops Tillbrook! Lahti thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Tillbrook to his feet! Tillbrook is in big trouble!

Tillbrook is rocked!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keith Tillbrook. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Lahti! This one is all over!
