Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Ciro (ranked 3876 p4p, 2531 weight class) and Edson Silva (ranked 487 p4p, 329 weight class). Jay Ciro looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jay Ciro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Edson Silva!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ciro sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Silva somewhat.
Silva fails with the takedown.
Silva manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ciro on his heels. He'll look to pass Ciro's guard now, I'm sure.
Silva passes Ciro's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Ciro has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silva is trying to control. Ciro wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ciro has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Silva is working away from the top position though.
Silva has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at St Petersburg MMA Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Silva is working for a submission of some sort.

Silva is working for a kimura but Ciro is defending it quite comfortably.
Ciro is refusing to be controlled, as Silva sits in half guard.
Silva has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Ciro defend it? Silva steps over the head and cranks it - Ciro is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Silva!
