Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Coyle (ranked 3412 p4p, 3689 weight class) and Don Kras (ranked 385 p4p, 419 weight class). Don Kras has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Chris Coyle's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Coyle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Don Kras!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kras looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Coyle wants to get back to full guard.
Kras wants to control but Coyle is keeping him busy.
Coyle gets back to full guard.
Coyle is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Coyle is pulling down on Kras's head. It's preventing any offense from Kras, at least for the moment.
Coyle not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coyle throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Coyle wants to get back to his feet but Kras is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kras is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Coyle scores with a couple of nice shots.
Kras is refusing to be controlled, as Coyle sits in half guard.
Coyle is really struggling to control Kras but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Coyle thows a huge punch but Kras dodges it nicely.

Coyle goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Kras dives in and grabs Coyle's left leg, looking for a takedown. Coyle pushes down on Kras's head and hops out.

Coyle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kras swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Coyle stands up over Kras, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Kras really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Coyle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Coyle postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Chris Coyle overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kras utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Kras takes one to the chin there.

Coyle moves into range and clinches up with Kras.
Kras pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Coyle jumps guard and drags Kras to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Kras wants to control from the top but Coyle keeps moving.

Kras keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Coyle's head.
Coyle will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Coyle has control of Kras's left arm, preventing Kras from doing any damage.

Coyle bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kras's guard.

Kras is refusing to be controlled, as Coyle sits in half guard.
