Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kuai Liang (ranked 4676 p4p, 5051 weight class) and Henry Bowes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Henry Bowes!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Roberts and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowes misses with a wild combination.
Bowes waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Liang.
Liang closes the distance but Bowes moves to the side
and Bowes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Liang wants to clinch up but Bowes keeps it at a distance.

and Bowes counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bowes circles away from the clinch attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Liang takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Bowes misses with a hook to the body
and Liang counters with a stiff right hand.
Liang avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Liang.
This has been an exciting period of action!
You can see the frustration on Bowes's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Bowes is trying to get back to half guard.
Bowes is trying to control Liang's posture but Liang avoids it.
Liang is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Bowes's shoulder. That is not cool.
Bowes prevents Liang from improving position.
Bowes tries to improve position but can't.
Liang wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bowes keeps working.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Liang has control of an arm but Bowes manages to advance to Liang's back!
Bowes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Liang. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Will Bowes go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Bowes is punishing Liang with some ground and pound.

Liang breaks Bowes's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Liang stands up and waves to Bowes to follow him.
Liang tries for a takedown but Bowes sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Liang avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bowes throws a body shot but no joy.
Bowes throws a hook but Liang avoids it easily.
Liang throws a quick counter head kick but Bowes was just out of range.
Liang looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bowes blocks a head kick by Liang.
The fight stays on the outside here - Liang looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bowes feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Liangs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Bowes looks to land a right hand but Liang moved out of range.
Liang shoots for a double leg takedown but Bowes sprawls well. He's pushed Liang's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kuai Liang. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Liang changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bowes tries to avoid it but Liang manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bowes to the ground. Bowes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Liang is breathing heavily.
Bowes throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Liang throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jab, jab by Bowes - just one landing.
A big right from Bowes misses.
Bowes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Liang moves away.
Liang uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bowes.
Bowes avoids the body shot from Liang.
Bowes throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bowes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Liang manages to avoid it.
Liang fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bowes avoids it really well and circles away.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Henry Bowes dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Liang slips under a jab from Bowes.
Liang keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Liang looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Liang defending well as Bowes loads up on a big left hand.
Liang shoots in looking for a takedown but Bowes manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Liang's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Liang rushes Bowes and presses him up against the cage.
Liang tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Bowes lands a right hand that snaps the head of Liang backwards.
Bowes misses with a punch to the body.

Liang is working for takedown but Bowes is calmly controlling the position for now.

Bowes presses Liang against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Bowes misses with a body punch.
Liang is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bowes gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bowes lands a nice uppercut.

Bowes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bowes lands a nice hook to Liang's body. Liang takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Bowes has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Bowes is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Liang.
Liang connects with a body shot.
Liang looks for a takedown but Bowes sprawls well.
A little jabbing left from Bowes on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Liang tries to clinch up.
Good exchange - Bowes coming out on top.
Bowes throws out a loose jab but Liang uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bowes's jab looks to have found its range, popping Liang under the eye.
Bowes uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Liang.

Bowes moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Liang is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bowes lands a brutal uppercut that launches Liang off his feet! Liang tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
