Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kubla Conn (ranked 6119 p4p, 5051 weight class) and Joshua Spotter (ranked 652 p4p, 582 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conn throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Conn lands a head shot.
Conn looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Spotter misses with a hook. Conn ducked under it nicely.
The fighters circling - Conn throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Spotter got a little sloppy there for a moment and Conn has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Spotter has managed to get both his arms back between Conn's legs - danger averted.

Conn drops back looking for a leg! Spotter is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Spotter manages to kick Conn off! Conn jumps back into Spotter's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Spotter can do anything to dispel that myth.
