The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mauliwarmadewa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Meowgi seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Meowgi closes the distance and clinches.
Meowgi's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Meowgi jumps into guard, dragging Mauliwarmadewa to the mat.

Meowgi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mauliwarmadewa defends well.
Mauliwarmadewa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Meowgi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mauliwarmadewa wants to stand and escape but instead Meowgi has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Meowgi slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Mauliwarmadewa throws a right hand that Meowgi ducks under and follows up with a left that Meowgi also avoids with ease.
A quick step to the side and Meowgi tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Meowgi tries to close the distance and clinch but Mauliwarmadewa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Meowgi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Meowgi dodges the punch combination from Mauliwarmadewa.
Meowgi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mauliwarmadewa sprawls well. Mauliwarmadewa wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Meowgi gets slowly back to his feet.
We've been informed that Mauliwarmadewa has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Amangkurat Mauliwarmadewa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
