The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas with a poor takedown
enabling Petrovs to counter with a crisp jab.

Thomas darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Petrovs is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Thomas stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Thomas has a takedown stuffed.
Thomas shoots in looking for a takedown. Petrovs tries to sprawl out of it but Thomas keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Petrovs manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Petrovs is looking to counter punch.
Kaspars Petrovs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jax Thomas.
A decent looking cross lands there for Petrovs.

It looks like Jax Thomas has been cut.
Petrovs jabs Thomas to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Thomas shoots for a takedown but Petrovs saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Petrovs ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Thomas goes for a double leg but Petrovs avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Petrovs continues to drive forward.

and Petrovs counters with a left right combination that sends Thomas crashing to the mat - Petrovs wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Thomas out for a TKO! Devastating finish!
